In my previous post, I talked about internatonal travel in the British Virgin Islands. However, for this post I am going to change that up. I am going to go to a place that is basically in my backyard (30 minutes away from Reno, NV) to a place called Lake Tahoe. This post is going to be different because I am going to take you away from the beach life and go into the mountain life. In this post I will just talk about my three favorite things I love to do in Lake Tahoe.

1. Boating in Lake Tahoe! This has to be on the top of my list when it comes to activities in Lake Tahoe. There is nothing better then a day under the sun with the fresh Tahoe water splashing in your face going 80 mph! Pack your bags with some sunscreen, a towel, and a hat. Stop by the local deli store to pick up a fresh sandwhich, grab a couple of cold beers for hydration, and lay back under the sun. There are a couple of cool rock jobs on the outskirts of Tahoe to jump off when it gets too hot.

2. Snowboarding at Northstar! Ahh this one is a close second when it comes to boating in Tahoe. This activity you obviously can’t do in the summer time but it is a great winter activity! I have been a season pass holder to Northstar for four years now. I enjoy the first sight of snow because that means winter is coming to Tahoe. Waking up early in the morning, drinking a hot coffee, and riding down the powder.

3. Hiking! I enjoy an early morning day starting it off with a great hike. I just love hiking! I enjoy getting away from the city and walking outside in nature. I enjoy the smell of the trees and hearing the birds chirp away. This hike above shows the five lakes hike. It takes about 2-3 three hours to get to the top. However, when you get to the top there are five different lakes to swim from. Another favorite of mine is monkey rock hike. This hike is pretty short but it gives a great view of Lake Tahoe. It also has a rock that looks like a money on it too!

Lake Tahoe is full of joy and a lot of surrondings cities to visit. Truckee is a gem located 25 minutes from North Lake Tahoe. It has a cool downtown with places to shop and eat. Next time you go to Lake Tahoe drink a beer and shred the gnarr!
