Viva Espana

Hello Guys! If you want to view my previous post, it is titled ‘Viva a Espana!’ Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read about my time in Barcelona, Spain. Welcome to the home of Paella, Churros con chocolate, and tapas. Barcelona is full of life, love, and laughter. It has a great deal to offer in terms of food, nightlife, and history. You can walk to the beach, shop around all day, and even see some historic art pieces.
Barcelona is home to a football club called FC Barcelona. If you know anything about sports, you know it is the most valuable sports franchise in the world. People here LOVE soccer! Soccer is life, and that is something I wanted to experience here. As you see in the picture above, the stadium fits nearly 100,000 fans. That means this place gets loud and noisy! That means the stadium was packed, and it was roaring with excitement. When FC Barcelona scored the first and only goal of the game, the stadium erupted with a loud roaring cheer. People had air horns, vuvuzelas, and clapped hard to cheer the team on for an important goal.
The photo above shows a skyline view of Barcelona near Park Güell. Walking to Park Guel requires some uphill walking. It is not the easiest place to get to, but it is worth seeing. It is better to order tickets online to schedule ahead of time and secure a spot. You will not be able to get a ticket for the time you want if you show up. However, you will be able to get tickets for a few hours later on a different tour. Definitely pack a snack, plenty of water, and wear very comfortable running shoes for this. It will require some serious uphill walking.
La Segrada Familia! A very famous one-of-a-kind temple that has been continuously built since 1866. The construction is still ongoing, and it is expected to be completed by 2026. There are a couple of free entry places to walk around and experience the inside of the temple. This place is a work of art! The details are incredible, and every aspect has been meticulously planned. You can order tickets online to get ahead of the game, as they tend to sell out.
When you visit Barcelona, I recommend trying different foods you are not familiar with. When it comes to breakfast, you must try a tortilla española. So Yummy! For lunch, you should try some Tapas. Tapas are very light and can be filling. You can enjoy your tapas with a cup of sangria and some Gazpacho! However, for dinner you must try Paella. They offer a wide variety of Paella for you to try. They have vegetarian, meat, and seafood options to choose from. After finishing your dinner, you can enjoy churros con chocolate or panellets for dessert. All are great tasting and yummy.
Barcelona was a fascinating town to visit! It has so much to offer. The city boasts a wide range of shops, dining options, and numerous bars. You can’t go wrong with getting a hotel, hostel, or Airbnb and getting lost in the city for a few days. Thank you, and I hope you have a sangria waiting for me on the beach!
